I am so stoked to be a fourth grade teacher at Cambridge Elementary School! This is my first teaching job out of college and I think that I am learning just as much new stuff as the students. I feel so blessed to have been given such a wonderful group of kids who are all filled with lots of potential.
So here are some background facts about me.
I am from Overland Park, Kansas and I went to school at Kansas State University. While attending college I had a few degree changes. I went into college thinking I would become a park ranger (the picture on the left was taken in mountains of Boulder, Colorado). But, I left school as a certified teacher. I completed my student teaching experiences in a fifth grade classroom on base in Ft. Riley, Kansas and in first grade in the Blue Valley School District.
This summer I worked for a company called Mad Science and we taught science based summer camps to elementary students grades K-6. I loved being a Mad Scientist because I got to teach some sweet experiments plus I got to wear an awesome lab coat.
